Together Tommorrow
Through Together Tomorrow: Reimagining Everyday Practices, we aim to explore a post-capitalist narrative of everyday practices by looking into currently operating citizen-driven initiatives across Europe.
Why a post-growth society? The contemporary polycrisis, and ensuing environmental, social and economic turmoils, are a consequence of our current outlook towards production and consumption. The organisation of society favours consumerism and equates economic growth with progress. We can continue to invest our energies into fighting the unsustainable capitalist system, or we can choose to recognize and invest in alternatives. Structural change occurs when small actions grow into a larger movement, an idea that gains traction and empowers people on a larger scale.
The exhibition explores everyday urban life beyond the confines of capitalism. A future where we can thrive by slowing down, engaging in motivating as well as mundane activities, bonding with others, and repairing and reutilizing urban space as a treasured artefact.
